The Stained Glass Jumper reimagines one of crochet’s most iconic stitches, the granny stitch, in a way that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly modern. Layers of color and texture form a reversible fabric full of movement and depth: on one side, a crisp mesh overlay creates a grid of “stained glass” panes; on the other, the familiar granny clusters shine through in shifting tones.

This pattern comes with two style options: a long-sleeved jumper for cooler months and a short-sleeved tee for warmer weather. You choose which one to make!

The construction is simple, the fabric beautifully drapey, and the process surprisingly intuitive once you get into the rhythm. It’s a project that celebrates color, comfort, and versatility in equal measure.

And if you can’t get enough of the effect, don’t miss the matching Stained Glass Scarf for a perfectly coordinated finish.

This pattern is available in English only and uses standard US crochet terminology.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Finished bust circumference: 29 (33.75, 37, 41.75, 45) (49.75, 56.25, 59.5, 64.25) inches or 74 (86, 94, 106, 114) (126, 143, 151, 163) cm

The sizing for this pattern is based on the standard Craft Yarn Council (CYC) measurements.

This top is designed to be worn with –3.25 to +3.25 inches (–8 to +8 cm) of ease around the bust.

All my garment patterns are size-inclusive and are graded for actual bust circumferences of up to at least a 60 inches or 152 cm.
