Tic Tac Toe Cardigan

The Tic Tac Toe Cardigan features a playful, reversible stitch, worked in DK weight yarn for quick progress and a bold finish. The dolman construction keeps the making simple: the piece comes together flat, in one go, with just two seams to close. The fit is relaxed and semi-cropped, easy to layer over anything.

Bishop sleeves add volume at the wrist, and ribbing at the collar, hem, cuffs, and lapel gives the design a polished edge. The piece is finished off with two sets of buttons, one for each side of the lapel, a small invitation to mix styles and play up the cardigan's reversible design.

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS

Finished bust circumference: 28.5 (36.5, 44.5, 52.5) (60.5, 68.5, 76.5) inches or 72 (93, 113, 133) (154, 174, 194) cm

The sizing for this pattern is based on the standard Craft Yarn Council (CYC) measurements.

This top is designed to be worn with 2 to 10 inches (5 to 25 cm) of positive ease around the bust.

All my garment patterns are size-inclusive and are graded for actual bust circumferences of up to at least a 60 inches or 152 cm.

Main color (squares on the WS): Arcane Fibre Works 80/20 Super Wash DK (80% Extra Fine Merino, 20% Nylon; 218 yds/200 m per 3.5 oz/100 g hank) in color Peacock’s Feather

Contrast color (plus signs on the RS): Cascade Yarns 220 Superwash (100% Superwash Wool; 220 yds/200 m per 100 g hank) in color 817 Ecru

• Hooks: US G/4.0 mm (main gauge), US E/3.5 mm (ribbing), US J/6.0 mm (foundation chain), or hook sizes needed to obtain gauge. I’m a tight crocheter, so you may have to go down in hook sizes.

• Notions: Yarn needle, scissors, 6 locking stitch markers, safety pins or sewing clips, 2 sets of five 1-inch (2.5-cm) buttons.
